200g/7oz butter, chopped
200g/7oz dark chocolate, roughly chopped *
zest 1 large orange
350g/12oz caster sugar
100g/4oz plain flour
50g/2oz cocoa powder *
* I used Green & Blacks Cocoa Powder and Green & Blacks Dark Chocolate.
The brownie tin was brought from Lakeland but they appear to have stopped selling this one, found another online store that sells this wonderful tin.
Heat the oven to 180c, 160c fan or gas 4.
Put the butter, dark chocolate and orange zest in non stick saucepan and very gently melt over a low heat, stirring every now and then, until smooth - take care not to over heat it. Cool.
Whisk the eggs and sugar together until the mixture is pale and thickened. Gently stir in the cooled chocolate mixture. Sift in the cocoa, flour and orange zest, stir gently until all combined.
Pour into baking tin and cook for 30 - 40 minutes (depending on how hot your oven gets), cool in the tin, when cool you can sift over some icing sugar if desired. Eat and enjoy.
